Career, responsibilities and experience

Following her qualification as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young, Lindsay worked in the audit department for several years post qualification, finally as an Audit Manager for a portfolio of international and local clients, including trust companies, unit trusts, local trading companies and charities. She has experience of forensic accounting work and specialised control and regulatory reviews of trust companies.

Lindsay subsequently moved to Ernst & Young Trust Company Limited in Jersey where she was responsible for risk management and compliance both before and after its merger with Royal Bank of Canada Trust. After a few years Lindsay left to set up her own compliance consultancy business, which she ran for several years- assisting various Jersey trust companies with compliance and Anti-Money Laundering related matters.

Lindsay joined the business of Cavendish as a Director in 2008 under its previous name and has a varied portfolio of international clients including family and corporate trusts, investment companies, Employee Benefit Trusts and various Jersey corporate and individual clients.  In 2012, Lindsay became a director of Abaris Chartered Accountants.

Qualifications/Memberships

Following the award of BA (Hons) from Oxford University, Lindsay qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991. Lindsay is a Chartered Accountant, a practising member of the ICAEW and also a member of the Jersey Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants.  Lindsay is also an Affiliate Member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners.
